Jennifer Hottinger-Sloan

Jennifer Hottinger-Sloan is a Canadian wildlife, nature and travel photographer whose image of an indigo bunting received an honourable mention in the July 2023 Beyond the Grid Wildlife Photography Contest. Her work reflects a love of the outdoors and a desire to capture moments that are easily overlooked.

Wildlife holds a special place in Jennifer’s photography. Through patience and quiet observation, she seeks to reveal an animal’s personality, behaviour and connection to its surroundings. Her camera offers a way to slow down, pay attention and discover the stories unfolding in the natural world.

From Canada’s landscapes to destinations around the globe, Jennifer also finds inspiration in architecture, people and different cultures. Photography encourages her to explore unfamiliar places and see familiar ones with fresh eyes, creating images that preserve the experiences and unexpected moments that make each journey memorable.
