This tree has stood in the shallows for years, long after the water rose around it. I set up for a long exposure so the clouds would stream over the mountains while the tree stayed perfectly still, rooted in the reflections and the fallen autumn leaves along the shore. To me it is a quiet picture about holding your ground.
