On a late day in October the temperatures were still too warm for the ice to form. The Polar Bears of Churchill Manitoba gather near the river waiting for the ice to arrive. They spend most of their days sleeping and lounging on the rocks to conserve energy. On this day we watched this big bear hanging around the beautiful rocks. He seemed very chill and relaxed. This image always makes me smile to see such a large predator in such a chill mode.
